On the seventh day, some inspiration

I spend many hours a day driving alone. It´s not as bad as it sounds. Good music on the radio and my thoughts. Of course, I hate every day traffic jams or dangerous behavours of some other drivers but excluding those things, I usually drive in a very relaxed way through an almost deserted highway.

Paso unas cuantas horas al día conduciendo sola. No es tan malo como parece. Buena música en la radio y mis pensamientos haciéndome compañía. Desde luego, odio cuando hay atasco o algún idiota va haciendo… el idiota. Pero, aparte de eso, normalmente conduzco muy tranquila a través de una casi siempre desierta autopista.

- These poetic pictures of cars into the landscape. Or landscape covering old cars. I don´t know.
-  If you are able to get into one of them, you could take pictures like these ones.
- Who hasn´t taken a look at the driver in the car besides yours?
- And haven´t you thought what the rest would think of you singing and dancing alone into your car while driving? I have!
- A huge and colourful compostion with toy cars.

¿Conocíais este blog tan chulo? Enseñan libros de fotografía página a página y me encanta echar un vistazo de vez en cuando a sus adquisiciones. También me han encantado estos otros proyectos:

- Estas poéticas imágenes de coches incrustados en el paisaje. O quizá es el paisaje el que los cubre.  No lo sé. 
-  Si fueras capaz de meterte en uno de los coches del proyecto anterior, probablemente obtendrías fotografías como estas.
-  ¿Quién no ha mirado de reojo al conductor del coche de al lado en un atasco?
- ¿Y no se te ha pasado por la cabeza qué pensarán los demás conductores mientras cantas y bailas como una loca? ¡Podría haber fotos!
- Una monumental y colorida composición con coches de juguete. 
- Y algunos coches fotografiados por mi querido Iñigo (el resto de sus fotos también son estupendas).

Things I’ve never thought I’d have to say

Unusual Sundays

All the brown horses in the world are named “chocolate”. So today, we´ve gone to see many “chocolates” at horse racings.  We have enjoyed the almost sunny day, the emotion of the races, the environment and many activities for children.

Hay algo indiscutible para nosotros: todos los caballos marrones del mundo se llaman “chocolate”. Y hoy hemos ido a ver a un montón de “chocolates” en las carreras de caballos. En el hipódromo hemos disfrutado del buen tiempo, de la emoción de las carreras, del increíble ambiente y de un montón de actividades para niños.

I couldn´t help thinking in all these photographies and porfolios:

- A lovely Audrey Hepburn, a brilliant Cecil Beaton and hundreds of amazing hats
-  These wild horses running free in a cold landscape.
- Or these other ones photographed at the studio.
- The impressive “rapa das bestas”, full of intensity, emotion and strenght.
- This poetic project.
- And finally, the most popular racing horse in the history of photography.

Yo no he podido evitar pensar en todas estas fotografías y portfolios:

- La adorable Audrey Hepburn, el genial Cecil Beaton y un buen montón de increíbles tocados.
- Estos caballos salvajes corriendo en libertad en un paisaje helado.
- O estos otros, fotografiados en estudio.
- La impresionante fiesta de la Rapa das Bestas, llena de intensidad, fuerza y emoción.
- Este poético proyecto.
- Y, finalmente, el caballo de carreras más conocido de la historia de la fotografía.
